KPI Cards Extension – Rapid Tableau BAN Development with Professional Design

Create beautiful Business Analysis Numbers (BAN) in Tableau with KPI Cards Extension. Features rapid deployment, period comparisons, interactive chart switching, and professional styling. Build stunning KPI dashboards in minutes with just Date + Measure fields.

Latest Update: Version 1.5.0 - January 2026

What's New in 1.5.0

Multi-Card Support: add multiple measures to your worksheet and each one automatically gets its own KPI card. Perfect for dashboards comparing Sales, Profit, Quantity, and other metrics side by side.

Auto Scale: cards automatically resize to fill available container space. No more manual sizing — the extension adapts to any dashboard layout.

Problem Highlight (Flashlight): visual highlighting of problem areas where current period underperforms vs. previous period. Instantly spot negative trends with color-coded zones on your charts.

Date Presets: quick time range selectors (Last 7/14/30/60/90 days) for rapid data exploration without modifying worksheet filters.

P95/P99 Statistics: new percentile statistics alongside MIN/MAX/AVG/Median for advanced performance analysis and outlier detection.

Metric Aggregation Modes: choose between SUM (for revenue, orders, visits) or AVG (for conversion rates, ratios) depending on your metric type.

Previous Updates (1.4.0)

Period Comparison Overlay: layered display with wide gray bars for previous period and narrow accent bars for current period.

Granularity Controls (D/W/M/Q/Y): one-click switches for date granularity with smart safeguards.

Chart Type Toggle: instant switch between line and bar charts per card.

Advanced Number Formatting: separate formats for KPI and statistics with configurable decimal places.

Visual Refinements: optional zero line, custom grid, proportional card scaling.
