Privacy Policy
How Data & Beyond extensions handle data - in plain language.
Effective date: 16 June 2026 · Last updated: 14 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled by the Tableau extensions and related tools published under the Data & Beyond brand (the “Extensions”), including KPI Card, DendroMap Explorer, and EasyTables. It applies wherever an Extension is distributed, including the Tableau Exchange.
The short version: the Extensions run inside your Tableau environment. They do not send Tableau data, field values, workbook contents, usage analytics, or telemetry to us or to third-party services. Some Extensions read data made available by Tableau and store configuration inside the workbook so that the visualisation can work as configured. We do not receive that data.
1. Who we are
The Extensions are published by EDUARD NIZAMOV PR, a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Serbia (the “Publisher”, “we”, “us”).
EDUARD NIZAMOV PR · Njegoševa 9, 34210 Rača, Serbia · Registration number (MB): 66819027 · Tax ID (PIB): 113428509 · Contact: edward.nizamov@gmail.com
2. What the Extensions do not send to us
The Extensions do not transmit to the Publisher or to third-party services:
- Tableau data sources, datasets, or field values
- Workbook or dashboard contents
- Worksheet names, field names, connection metadata, or visualisation configuration
- Business, customer, or end-user data displayed in Tableau
- Usage analytics, telemetry, device fingerprints, or precise location
The Extensions make no analytics or telemetry calls to the Publisher. All Tableau data processing described below happens locally in the browser context provided by Tableau.
3. Data access by Extension
| Extension | Tableau data used | Why it is used | Data sent outside your environment |
|---|---|---|---|
| KPI Card | Summary data bound to the visualisation | KPI values, trends, and period comparison | Never |
| DendroMap Explorer | Summary data exposed by the selected worksheet | Interactive hierarchy rendering and drill-down | Never |
| EasyTables | Summary data and, when enabled, underlying or full data | Table rendering, grouping, pivots, and exact non-additive calculations such as AVG and COUNTD | Never |
Tableau controls the data made available to an Extension. EasyTables declares Full Data permission in its manifest. Tableau may ask an author or administrator to approve this access, and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administrators can allow, deny, or safe-list the Extension according to their organisation’s policies.
4. Configuration stored inside Tableau
Extensions may use tableau.extensions.settings to keep author configuration with the workbook. This is Tableau-managed workbook storage, not Publisher storage.
EasyTables can store configuration such as field mappings, labels, formats, sort order, column layout, grouping and pivot definitions, calculated-field definitions, saved views, and filter presets. A saved filter preset can include search text or filter values chosen by the workbook author. People who can access or download the workbook may also be able to access its stored Extension configuration.
EasyTables can optionally write viewer layout state to a Tableau string parameter selected by the workbook author. This feature is off until configured. Without that parameter, viewer-only layout changes are session-only and are not automatically restored from browser storage.
The Publisher cannot access, retrieve, or delete configuration stored in your workbook or Tableau parameter. Workbook owners control its retention by changing the Extension configuration, clearing the relevant settings or parameter, or removing the Extension or workbook.
5. Distribution and download data
When you obtain an Extension through the Tableau Exchange, Salesforce/Tableau operates the marketplace and processes your interaction under its own privacy policy. Tableau may provide contributors with limited lead information associated with a download, such as a username, email address, listing name, and download date.
We use this information only to provide support and relevant product updates. We do not sell it or share it with third parties for their own marketing. You can ask us to delete it using the contact details below.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection, the CCPA, and similar laws, including rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of personal data that we hold. To exercise these rights, email edward.nizamov@gmail.com.
7. International transfers
Any limited Tableau Exchange lead data we receive may be processed in Serbia and the European Economic Area. Where required, cross-border transfers rely on appropriate legal safeguards.
8. Children
The Extensions are professional analytics tools and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the Extensions.
9. Security
The Extensions are served over HTTPS and use Content Security Policy controls. Runtime libraries are hosted with the Extensions rather than loaded from public CDNs. No frontend secrets or credentials are included in the Extensions.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Extensions evolve. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date.
