EasyTables privacy and licensing data

Table data stays in your browser
EasyTables reads Tableau summary data and can use Full Data access for exact non-additive calculations and advanced pivot aggregation. Tableau controls that permission. Worksheet rows, field values and workbook contents are processed locally; the licensing service does not receive them.
Author settings are saved through Tableau workbook settings. Optional user layout persistence uses a Tableau string parameter chosen by the author. The workbook owner controls these settings and their retention. A settings JSON export can contain configuration and filter values; review it before sharing.
Automatic runtime access checks
On Tableau Server and Cloud, EasyTables automatically checks access before reading table data and renews that decision during use. Each request sends the observed Tableau HTTPS address, exact site content URL and Tableau context to the publisher’s licensing API over HTTPS. The automatic request does not send an account identifier, username or email. Full workbook URLs, query strings, workbook names and table values are not included.
The service checks a privately approved exact deployment registration and its signed entitlement. A public access request does not create a trial, register a site or consume an account slot. Earlier trial-start and keyed monthly pseudonym records, if present, remain as historical licensing data; the new automatic check does not add to them. They are pseudonymous records, not anonymous information.
The browser receives only an access decision valid for at most five minutes, without customer names, prices, invoices or purchased capacity. An initial failed check, denial or expired decision blocks the table and export while preserving settings. A temporary outage can retain an already granted decision only until its original expiry. Desktop authoring has a local preview and does not send these admission requests.
Observed addresses are caller assertions, not independent proof of company ownership. Deployment approval requires a separate owner-verification process. Browser-supplied identities do not trigger automatic invoices, overage charges or account-based hard denials. Missing or ambiguous site context fails closed; EasyTables does not infer a Tableau Cloud site from a shared hostname. Live Cloud licensing acceptance remains pending.
The older author-operated online licence check is a separate optional diagnostic. If an author explicitly uses it, that request sends the signed licence, registered deployment, address/site and opaque account identifier and can maintain a separate historical monthly counter. It is not required for automatic runtime access.
The local diagnostic report omits the raw account identifier. An administrator can optionally generate a comparison fingerprint using a code they supply. That fingerprint can link reports produced with the same code and should be handled as pseudonymous information. It is not sent automatically.
Website, support and future billing
The EasyTables product and product-specific legal pages omit the site’s Google Tag Manager and Yandex tags. Hosting and font providers still receive ordinary web requests, including technical network metadata. Other pages of this site can use their existing analytics configuration.
Support email contains the information you choose to send. Please use synthetic examples and avoid sending credentials or customer datasets. No EasyTables payment provider is approved or enabled. This page does not collect payment details. Before checkout opens, the purchase notice will identify the provider and describe billing contact, address, payment and tax information, recipients, retention and applicable provider terms and privacy notice.
Providers and location
The website and extension use Netlify hosting; the licensing API and database use an isolated Hetzner deployment. No EasyTables payment provider is enabled. Support currently uses the published email address. Hosting providers can process IP addresses and request metadata even when the application does not store raw account identifiers.
The publisher is established in Serbia. European hosting alone does not establish that every operation or access stays in the EEA. Provider contract coverage, international-transfer safeguards and the final data-retention schedule are launch review items; this draft does not assert that a particular DPA or transfer agreement has already been executed.
Retention and requests
The service has encrypted backup procedures. There is currently no automatic purge of historical trial-site or monthly account-slot records. The older manual counter has a separate administrative deletion operation, but it is not scheduled automatically. A public commercial retention schedule and backup deletion policy have not yet been adopted; contact support for current retention and to request deletion. Historical first-seen trial and monthly account records remain distinguishable and are not written by the new automatic access path. Broader commercial rollout remains subject to finalizing these arrangements.
For personal data held by the publisher, contact the address above to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where applicable. The publisher may need proportionate verification and the relevant organization/deployment scope to locate a historical pseudonymous usage record. Do not send a raw account identifier through ordinary email. Tableau-held settings must be changed by the workbook or platform owner.
The commercial notice must identify purposes and legal bases, exact retention or determination criteria, recipients and safeguards, complaint routes and any processor-specific terms before general collection. This draft is not a substitute for that final notice.
